VT Sport

HDT made use of the last 5.0 Litre GMH vehicles with the Sport package built on the executive sedan. On the outside the sport package gave the buyer a choice of two exterior kits. First was the HDT open face grille, side skirts rear skirt and sports style rear wing, while on the other hand you could option your Sport with a one-piece front air dam, replacement bumper and front fog lights.

The V8 pumped out a refined 200kw with ease thanks to the cold air set up and revised computer chip, which was fitted. Next to the ports were H&M performance headers connected into the stainless 2.5-inch dual twin cat exhaust system.

These cars naturally stuck to the road well as HDT used double active gas shocks and stiffer shortened springs, which also lowered the car 50mm for a better stance and lower centre of gravity. A strut brace was then used on the front and rear to limit body roll while adjustable bushes were fitted onto the IRS arms for customisation of the castor and camber configuration.

Inside luxury appointments were in abundance. Combined with the HDT options were factory GM options like CD player and air conditioning however the leather combined with tinted windows, carbon fibre (Or wood grain) dash trimmings, Momo pedals, wheel and matching gear knob finished off the inside to a tee.

Option 2: 5.0 Litre V8, overhead valves, 2 valves / cylinder Bore x Stroke (mm): 102.0 mm bore and 77.0mm stroke, 9.5:1 compression. Max Power 204kw.
