In commemoration of Brocks 1987 Bathurst win, the ‘one off’ VL Mount Panorama was created. While many publications state that the car is a Calais based Brock, the Mt Panorama actually started life as an SL/Executive. HDT subsequently fitted the Calais pop-ups, bilstein shocks and re-worked the 5.0 litre V8 engine with heavy duty con rods and crankshaft as well as Crane roller rockers as per the Group A power plant.
The bodykit consisted of a variety of Brock pieces with the car wearing the Group A’s rear boot spoiler, Group A air intake (which was integrated with the engines Cold Air intake system), a Group A grille and Group Three signature series front air damn. Wheels were originally the 16×7 Aero’s, but were changed in favour of the 15×7″ Aero wheel with the flush fitting covers.
